Décideurs 100: the ranking you want to keep a close eye on

  • Published on

Calling out to all corporate law practitioners, this is the ranking you want to know about.

2016 has been a successful year for corporate law firms in France. Overall law firms’ progression has boomed at a staggering 8% rate.

The ranking is important for firms in France as it remains their only means to know where they stand in comparison with their competitors. By filling up surveys concerning their revenues, total employment and productivity rates as well as with public information, Décideurs Magazine was able to draw some interesting conclusions. The leitmotif for this year’s Décideurs 100 is growth; a highly encouraging sign for the legal market in post-crisis France.

Ten law firms have reached 700 000 euros of revenues per associate. The average is a high 406 945 euros per associate. Overall, the average net revenue per partner has progressed by 3.45%.

Interestingly, Orrick has recruited four partners from Freshfields for its financial, banking, M&A and private equity departments. This could explain the two position lead the firm was able to gain.

At the top of the podium, Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier outruns its competitors, followed by Mayer Brown.
